The year 2000 marked the beginning of our experience in designing and building commercial weight products - under our parent company SDM, an OEM manufacturer.  In 2007 the d.b.a. Umax Strength was released with our own U.S. design and engineering patents and a year after that, in 2008, we aggressively marketed the Umax brand to the health club industry and commercial fitness equipment distributors.  In just a few short years, Umax twice outgrew our California based facility, even in the midst of a tough global economy.  We use our own U.S. patents, and hybrid overseas and domestic manufacturing, to build superior products at the lowest prices.  Today, Umax challenges market dominance as a premium urethane weight manufacturer applying our Mission Statement:
